Adamın birisi ne demiş
"Currently, I own both the OM- D E- M5 and the Kodak S1. I purchased the S1 as a back up camera for my OM D from Amazon on sale for under $400 including 2 kit lenses and a 400mm telephoto lens. Of course , the OM D is a superior camera by virtue of all its pro features, build quality, weather proofing and more. Cost for the OM D, with only one kit lens, also was more than double the price of the S1. But to my surprise, in actual practice, when I use my 3 Zeiss lenses on these 2 cameras respectively, image qualities appear on my computer screen virtually the same for both, indistinguishable to my eyes, anyway. The OM D is faster in overall operation;however, the S1 is not a laggard in this respect, and rarely do I miss a photo opportunity.I particularly enjoy the simplicity of the S1 operation, menu, and the WDR. Video quality of S1 is not in the bench mark league as the OM D,but it is good and serviceable to my needs. Without doubt, I miss the of the OM D EVF especially in sunlight. Overall, when one purchases the S1 during a sale period the S1 is a huge bargain, and can be considered a most viable choice over all lesser cameras such as point and shoots. The S1 is an excellent camera for a photographic neophyte that is searching for a quality MFT camera at a fair price ,and a fun one to use at that. You know,I'm not even reluctant to display my ownership and use of this Kodak camera in the presence of the photographic cognoscenti. So far, after almost 3 months of usage ,it has proven to be durable with no problems to be mentioned. I would probably miss using this camera if it were to become inoperable. I would consider repairing it.
In the final analysis my only major complaint is not the camera per se,but the licensing of the Kodak name emblazoned on the sturdy camera body
made by another manufacturer other than Kodak, rendering the Kodak name suspect -something of a corporate illusion of sorts. In other words, it begs the question whether this really is a Kodak designed camera? Since I don't have an answer to this question,I have mixed sentiments when I use this camera even as competent as I know it to be.On the other hand,it is good to see the Kodak logo back in the photo market place. Kodak is still alive,if not thriving.
It is something of a sad reflection on my part to think of this camera in the pop cliche"it is what it is". Or just maybe a revision of this cliche is in order here such as "it isn't what it is"if you know what I mean."
